This Policy describes how EBH collects, uses, stores, manages and discloses information, including personal information, that our users ("you" or "users") provide or we collect in connection with our Service. 

This Policy applies only to information collected or received by EBH through your use of the Service. Any link to the sites or any third party does not imply that EBH is affiliate with or sponsors that third party. EBH is not responsible for the actions, products or services of any third party, the content of any third party site, or the use or disclosure of any information you provide to any third party. 

What personal data we collect, how and why we collect it 

E-mail Subscription 

If you subscribe to our mailing list, we will store your e-mail address together with your name. We never sell this information to third parties and you can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any of the e-mails sent to you. We use Wix’s built in mail delivery service so your e-mail address will be shared with them for the purpose of sending the e-mails to you. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

These cookies help us make the website function properly, make the website more secure, provide better user experience, and understand how the website performs and to analyze what works and where it needs improvement 

As most of the online services, our website uses first-party and third-party cookies for a number of purposes. The first-party cookies are mostly necessary for the website to function the right way, and they do not collect any of your personally identifiable data. 

The third-party cookies used on our website are used mainly for understanding how the website performs, how you interact with our website, keeping our services secure, and all in all providing you with a better and improved user experience and help speed up your future interactions with our website. 

What types of cookies do we use ? 

Essential: Some cookies are essential for you to be able to experience the full functionality of our site. They allow us to maintain user sessions and prevent any security threats. They do not collect or store any personal information. Statistics: These cookies store information like the number of visitors to the website, the number of unique visitors, which pages of the website have been visited, the source of the visit etc. These data help us understand and analyze how well the website performs and where it needs improvement. Functional: These are the cookies that help certain non-essential functionalities on our website. These functionalities include embedding content like videos or sharing contents on the website on social media platforms. Preferences: These cookies help us store your settings and browsing preferences like language preferences so that you have a better and efficient experience on future visits to the website. 

We use third party cookies from Google Analytics and HotJar, please read the section ‘Analytics’ below. 

Analytics 

This website uses Mouseflow: a website analytics tool that provides session replay, heatmaps, funnels, form analytics, feedback campaigns, and similar features/functionality. Mouseflow may record your clicks, mouse movements, scrolling, form fills (keystrokes) in non-excluded fields, pages visited and content, time on site, browser, operating system, device type (desktop/tablet/phone), screen resolution, visitor type (first time/returning), referrer, anonymized IP address, location (city/country), language, and similar meta data. Mouseflow does not collect any information on pages where it is not installed, nor does it track or collect information outside your web browser. We also use Google Analytics to understand user behaviour on our website.

We gather information about where users click, how long they stay on a page, how frequently do they return to the website, how much they scroll down on a page, how much time they spend viewing certain sections of the website, how they move their mouse cursor, which pages they visit in which order, their IP addresses and where do they come from (e.g. clicked on search results, directly entered URL, etc.). We also gather information about our users’ geographical location (e.g. country) and if they are logged in with their Google account and have enabled ad customisation, then Google may log additional information about them if they have shared that with Google (e.g. their age, gender).

 

The aforementioned information gathered by Google Analytics and Mouseflow is used optimize the layout and content of the website. 

The data mentioned in this section will be stored by Google and Mouseflow, we only have access to it through them, so please read their privacy policy to understand how they will store and share your data.

Embedded content from other website

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. 

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. 

How can I control the cookie preferences? 

When you load our site for the first time, a cookie banner will be displayed where you can change your preferences or withdraw your consent entirely.

Appointment booking 

When you decide to book an appointment with us, you will need to share your name, email address, phone number and payment details with us. This information will be securely stored by Squarespace Scheduling (a highly reputable appointment scheduling system) and Squareup (a Financial Conduct Authority regulated payment provider). We do not share these sensitive information with anyone, unless required by law. Notes taken during our sessions 

We engage in regular on-going supervision or consultation with more experienced behaviour scientists, and psychologists. We may discuss your case in supervision but we would not use any identifying details. Psychologists providing supervision or consultation are also bound by confidentiality. 

Notes taken during our consultation (if any) will be stored securely and won’t be shared with third parties, unless required by law or our Terms and Conditions. 

Who we share your data with 

We don’t share your personal data with third parties, unless required by law or our Terms and Conditions (e.g. debt collection may require sharing your personal information with 3rd parties such as courts). You can find the Terms and Conditions when you book an appointment. 

All data we collect is collected through third parties such as Wix, Google, HotJar, Squarespace and Squareup, so they will have access to parts of your data, please read the sections above to understand exactly what data is gathered through which provider and how they handle it. 

How long we retain your data 

We may retain all your information for 5 years or for any period required by law (whichever is greater). 

If you subscribe to our newsletter we will retain your e-mail address until you notify us that you don’t want to be part of our newsletter mailing list anymore. 

What rights you have over your data 

If you have an account on Squarespace Scheduling you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. 

Most of the data we store about how you interacted with our site is stored in an anonymized form so it’s not possible to ask for a copy of it. 

You can also unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time using the link at the bottom of any e-mail received from us. You can also request that we delete your e-mail address from our database by contacting us at martin dot hajdics at evidencebasedhelp dot com. 

 

Security 

EBH implements reasonable security measures to protect the security of your information and is committed to protect customer information. E.g. all the third party tools we use to store personal information encrypts that. 

Although EBH takes reasonable precautions against possible security breaches of its computers and records, no Internet transmission and computer system is completely secure. Accordingly, EBH cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur. 

 

Amendments to this Policy 

EBH may modify this Policy from time to time. We will post all changes to this Policy on this page or another location on the Site. If we decide to collect, store or process personal information in the future, this will be reflected in the updated version of this policy and Service will ask for your consent to do so.
